ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 7 and 7A of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act 2018 in Cr.No.15 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused person demanded a sum of Rs.1 lakh as Bribe from on Vinothkumar, on 05.05.2020 at about 2 P.M. to register a settlement Deed. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he is falsely implicated in this case. Hence, the learned counsel prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate submits that investigation is preliminary stage.

5. Considering the fact that the allegation made against the petitioner is serious in nature and investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
