Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner (Roll No.13APD040041) for selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Education Service, by considering the M.Sc. (Statistics) Degree acquired by the petitioner from University of Madras in September 1996 as eligible qualification, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Education Service. 2.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is already aged 52 years and in fact, the selection process has also been completed as early as in the year 2014 itself.

Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 4.

There shall be no order as to costs.
