ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) After having heard learned counsel for the parties and having gone through the contents of the petition, we do not consider it appropriate to grant further indulgence to the petitioner, because the petition is blissfully vague and does not contain relevant information and material as to the dates on which leases were granted; dates on which the land was declared as catchment area under the Master Plan, if any; and whether the lands were duly acquired in accordance with the provisions of law.
2. This petition has been filed without conducting proper research and the bald averments made in this public interest litigation, without any documents in support thereof, cannot be made the basis for conducting a fishing and roving enquiry by the court.
Leaving this issue open to be considered in an appropriate
case, the writ petition is dismissed with costs quantified at Rs.50,000/- payable to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority within one month.
