ORDER

The prayer made in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to pay interest for the belated payment of retirement benefits, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2013.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that by G.O. (1D).No.281 Revenue [Service-10(2)] Department, dated

22.08.2013, the petitioner was paid a sum of Rs.3,06,437/- towards interest for the belated payment of retirement benefits. However, the learned counsel submitted that some other amount is also pending for payment and hence, the petitioner may be permitted to make a fresh representation to the respondent authorities.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for granting such relief to the petitioner.

4.Considering the limited relief now sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, which has not been seriously opposed on the side of the respondents, this Court permits the petitioner to submit a fresh representation indicating his grievances along with a copy of this order to the respondent authorities within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such submission, the respondent authorities shall consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter. 5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
