This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 493 days in filing the criminal appeal against the judgment of the learned District and Sessions Judge at Mayiladuthurai in S.C.No.67 of 2020 dated 18.10.2023.

2. This Court is convinced with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of the petition. Since the delay has been satisfactorily explained, the delay is condoned and this petition is allowed.

3. Registry is directed to number the above Criminal Appeal, if it is otherwise in order and post the same in usual course.
