Mr.G.Nanmaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the first and second respondents and Mr.Rajinikanth, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the third respondent.

The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse the earned leave calculated at the rate of 32 days per year from 01.01.1990 till the date of the petitioner's retirement with interest @ 18% PA for the delayed period from 28.02.2017 till the date of payment at the earliest.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Casual Labourer in the third respondent and he 2/5
was retired on 28.02.2017, there was a delay in settling his terminal benefits. He further submits that for similarly placed person the respondent has already settled the terminal benefits in pursuance to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.20657 of 2022 dated 13.10.2022. Hence, he sent a representation dated 12.04.2025, and as such, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent and perused the materials available on record.
6. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2025 and pass order on its own 3/5
merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
