ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representations dated 04.10.2025 and 09.03.2026 and grant permission to demolish the dilapidated building situated in his property.

It is stated that the petitioner purchased property measuring 1,412 sq.ft. comprised in S.Nos.303/19A and 303/20A situated at Kannanur, Pazhampettai Village, Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, under a registered Sale Deed dated 29.07.2025 bearing Document No.2893 on the file of the Sub-Registrar Office, Chetpet. It is further stated that an old and dilapidated building measuring about 350 sq.ft. exists in the said property and the structure is in a dangerous condition. The petitioner approached the respondents seeking permission to demolish the building and submitted representations dated 04.10.2025 and 09.03.2026. But till date, no orders have been passed. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition seeking appropriate directions.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the lapse of considerable time, no orders have been passed on the petitioner's 2/4

representations. Hence, he prayed for issuance of suitable directions to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations.

4. In response, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representations would be considered in accordance with law and appropriate orders would be passed within a reasonable time.

5. This Court has considered the submissions made by learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the fair submissions, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.10.2025 and 09.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all necessary parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
