ORDER
This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking for an early disposal of LAOP. No.103 of 2023 on the file of the Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu.
2.The petitioners are the claimants seeking compensation in respect of the lands acquired from them, which is the subject matter of LAOP. No.103 of 2023 pending on the file of the Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu. According to the petitioners, even though a writ petition filed by the petitioners seeking for disbursement of compensation has attained finality by disposing the writ appeal by the Division Bench of this Court in petitioners' favour, LAOP No.103 of 2023 pending on the file of the Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu has not been disposed of yet. The petitioners claim that till date, despite several adjournments, the second respondent has not filed their counter in LAOP. No.103 of 2023. The petitioners seek for an early disposal of LAOP. No.103 of 2023 before this Court through this petition.
3. No prejudice will be caused to any of the parties if a direction is issued to the Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu to dispose of LAOP. No.103 of 2023 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' contentions before this Court through this petition. 5.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to file its counter in LAOP No.103 of 2023 before the Trial Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu is directed to dispose of LAOP No.103 of 2023, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months thereafter.
6.Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents, notice to the respondents is dispensed with. No costs.
