ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue a fresh death certificate for the petitioner's deceased husband Mr.S.Balaji by mentioning the wife/spouse name as B.Kuppammal.

3. It is submitted by the learned Government Counsel for the respondent at the outset that the death certificate has already been issued in the name of Mr.S.Balaji, wherein, his wife name has been shown as Jayalakshmi.

4. It is now submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is infact the legally wedded wife and in support there of, she has also placed reliance on HMOP copy.

5. At this juncture, the learned Government Counsel for the respondent would submit that the respondent would consider and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of and the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.03.2026 keeping in view the Registration of Birth and Death Act and the corresponding rules, more particularly, Section 15 Rule 11 of the said Act, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as Jayalakshmi who has been shown as wife in the

death certificate already issued and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
