O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Palladam to expedite the trial in C.C.No.201 of 2012 and to fix a limit to dispose the trial. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner, who is A1 in C.C.No.201 of 2012 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Palladam is seeking a direction to the trial Court to expeditiously complete the trial. It is seen that the petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.201 of 2012 before the Judicial Magistrate, Palladam for the offence under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and Section 323 IPC along with one Santhosh [A2].

4. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR and the fact that the case is pending from the year 2012, this Court directs the trial Court to complete the trial in C.C.No.201 of 2012 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided the petitioner co-operates in the trial by cross-examining the witnesses on the day they are examined-in-chief and without adopting any dilatory tactics.

Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
