O R D E R

The order of suspension dated 22.03.2016, is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner was holding the post of Village Administrative Officer and a criminal case was registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act by the Department of Vigilance and Anti Corruption. During the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner reached the age of superannuation. Thus, the authorities would have passed further orders on the eve of his retirement. Therefore, the suspension order under challenge in the present writ petition deserves no further adjudication. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authorities for redressal of his grievances, after the disposal of the criminal case and the departmental disciplinary proceedings initiated against him.

3. With this liberty, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 03.11.2022 mrn Index : Yes / No Speaking order / Non-Speaking order To The Revenue Divisional Officer, Namakkal District, Namakkal.
