By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents for posting the petitioner in the post of PG Assistant [Home Science] in the existing
vacancy at Presidency Girls Higher Secondary School, Egmore, Chennai - 600 008 based on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 14.06.2016.
3.The petitioner applied for the post of PG Assistant in Home Science and on 27.05.2012, she has written the examination and secured 93 marks. Based on which, she also attended certificate verification, which was conducted on 10.08.2012, whereas in January 2013, Teacher Recruitment Board published results wherein her selection was withheld. Therefore, the petitioner along with other persons filed Writ Petitions in W.P.Nos.32270 to 32273 of 2011 to direct the respondents to select and appoint the petitioners to the post of PG Assistant Home Science, based on merit in the selection, which were admitted and the same is pending. However, on 30.08.2014, the second respondent has conducted counseling for the persons, who are selected to the post of PG Assistant Home Science. According to the petitioner, she made several representations and her last representation to the respondents on 14.06.2016 but till date no orders have been passed and hence, the Writ Petition has been filed.
4.Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if her representation is directed to be considered and appropriate orders are passed as expeditiously as possible. 5.Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents has got no serious objection for directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law. 6.Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents. 7.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
8.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
