PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.07.2020 and to pass appropriate orders within a time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.7.2020 and to take action within the time fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he got married to one Geetha and they were blessed with a son, who was named as Naveen and he was born on 3.11.1979. The further case of the petitioner is that he used to be called by his friends and relatives as 'Myke' and his official name is 'Meyalagan'. By mistake, the name of the petitioner was mentioned in the Birth Certificate of his son as 'Myke'. The petitioner wanted to rectify this mistake and hence a representation came to be given by the petitioner on 21.7.2020 along with all the relevant documents. The grievance of the petitioner is that this representation has not been considered till date and the present https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Writ Petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.G.Ilamurugu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Balamurugane, learned Special Govt. Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.07.2020 and take necessary action in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
