By consent of the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal. Heard both sides.
2. In this Writ Petition, the Petitioner seeks for a direction to the 2nd Respondent to allot the Registration No.TN 33 BK 1919 to the Petitioner's Four Wheeler, bearing Chassis No.MB 1 PBEYCOFEXS 6823, Engine No.FXEZ 416217, after receiving payment.

3. According to the Petitioner, the application for allotment of the registration number in question has been submitted through online on 25.08.2015 and the 2nd Respondent did not issue the challan for payment, in spite of his specific request and the 2nd Respondent is trying to assign the same to some other third party for a sum arbitrarily chosen by him.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondents submitted that the registration number in question has already been allotted to one N.Suthanthiran, on 25.08.2015 itself and also produced a copy of the registration certificate to that effect.
5. Since the registration number in question has been already assigned to a third party, the prayer in this Writ Petition has become infructuous and nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed, as nothing survives. No costs.
