(This case has been heard through video conferencing) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the second respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner's life and her husband from the hands of the third to eighth respondents based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.10.2020. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. Heard Mr.G.Kartheeban, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police 1 & 2.
3. Today when the petition is came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police 1 & 2 on instructions would submit that in an earlier occasion i.e., on 03.06.2020, the petitioner herein presented a representation before the second respondent police and the same has been closed after conducting due enquiry in CSR.No.131 of 2020. Subsequent to that, the alleged representation dated 02.10.2020 has not been received by the second respondent police and therefore, in the absence of any representation, the respondents police are not in a position to redress the grievance of the petitioner.
4. In this regard, this Court instructs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the second respondent. If any such representation is received from the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to deal with the same in accordance with law.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
