K. MATHAN, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 406, 420, 397 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.132 of 2017 and seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused in the guise of redeeming jewels threatened the defacto complainant and obtained cash from him at knife point.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and he is no way connected with the offence. He further submits that this Court by an order dated 03.02.2017 in Crl.O.P.No.1351 of 2017 granted bail to A1. This petitioner is arrayed as A5 and he is only driver of A1.

Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that A1 has already been released on anticipatory bail, I am inclined to grant him anticipatory bail.

6. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirruvottiyur, within a period of

15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirruvottiyur and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the said Magistrate on every Monday and Friday at 10.30 a.m., for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation.
