ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent Police to conduct an enquiry and take action on the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 27.03.2026.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that despite submitting a formal complaint regarding a dispute, the respondent Police have not made any significant progress or concluded the matter. Hence, the present petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner's complaint was received, and assigned C.S.R.No.123 of 2026 on 28.03.2026. He further submitted that the dispute appears to be a land dispute and that an enquiry is on going with the petitioner and the counter-petitioner having been called for investigation. He further submitted that the respondent Police will complete the enquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with the law within a period of eight weeks. 4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the 1st respondent is directed to complete the enquiry pending in C.S.R.No.123 of 2026 on its merits and pass orders or take further action as may be warranted, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
