The Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to conduct fresh interview among the eight candidates who have applied for petrol/diesel retail outlet dealership for location at Vellichandai to Jittandahalli, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District and prepare merit list for awarding dealership within a stipulated time.

The Respondents have entered appearance through Counsel and filed their Counter Affidavit and contended that the procedure of selection of dealership by the Oil Marketing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Companies was changed and a new policy of "Draw of Lots" was introduced by the Government of India by its order dated 23.06.2014.

In view of the change of policy, the question of conducting fresh interview among the eight candidates including the Petitioner does not arise and nothing survives for further adjudication in the Writ Petition.
