(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with necessary instructions to enable a final disposal of the matter, even at this juncture. Hence, by consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed finally, even at the stage of admission.
2. The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus to grant permission to the petitioner's son, Sundar, presently confined in Central Prison, Puzhal to
permit him to grow his hair in order that he may donate the same to cancer patients.
3. Since the authorities are in receipt of representation dated 11.03.2026, without going into the merits of the matter, we direct R3/Superintendent of Prison, Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai to consider the request of the petitioner dated 11.03.2026 and pass orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from today.
4. This Writ Petition is disposed as above.
