Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board to consider and pass orders on petitioner's representation dated 10.09.2024 in accordance with Waqf Act, 1995 and Waqf Lease Rules 2014 to lease out 5,500 square feet vacant land comprised in T.S.Nos.1569/1 and 1569/2, situated at Nagore Municipality, Nagapattinam District, to run tuition center and also to approve to construct Mosque and Madarasa in balance vacant land, within a reasonable time.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 10.09.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for leasing out the land and to run a tuition center and also to grant approval for construction of Mosque and Madarasa.
2. Heard Mr.S.Murali Krishnan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.G.Mohammed Aseef, learned counsel appearing for respondent.
3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that necessary orders will be passed by the respondent based on the representation given by the petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and taking note of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent, this Court directs the respondent to pass necessary orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
