When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.Rahul Balaji, learned counsel for the impleaded respondent in W.M.P.No.16250 of 2019 would submit that this Court on 17.05.2019 has granted interim stay in respect of common panel of persons for promotion from the post of Section Officer to Assistant Registrar and also from the post of Deputy Registrar to Senior Deputy Registrar.

2.According to Mr.Rahul Balaji, learned counsel for the impleaded respondent, the writ petition is concerned only in regard to promotion of the petitioners from the post of Section Officer to Assistant Registrar and not to the higher post. In view of the same, the learned counsel urges this Court to clarify that the interim order of stay is to be confined only to promotion from Section Officers to Assistant Registrars and not to the higher post of Deputy Registrar to Senior Deputy Registrar.

3.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels, the present petition is allowed and it is clarified that the interim stay already granted on 17.05.2019 is only in regard to the

Sgl promotion of Section Officer to the post of Assistant Registrar and not to any higher cadres i.e. Deputy Registrar to Senior Deputy Registrar.

4.The Registry is directed to list the writ petition on 11.07.2019.
