Respondents Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to pass appropriate orders on the Appeal petition submitted by the petitioner dated 30.01.2015 in the light of the orders of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal in OA.No.3277 of 1993 dated 25.11.1996 and the orders of the 2nd respondent issued in RC.No.102889/97/N1 dated 17.09.1999 within a reasonable period.

ORDER
By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The grievance of the petitioner is that his service was regularised with effect from 15.03.1976 instead of 18.09.1975. The earlier appeal filed before the respondents 2 and 3 were rejected and now the appeal is pending before the first respondent for consideration. Hence, the present writ petition before this Court.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.T.Ranganathan learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner appeal petition dated 30.01.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
