Petition seeking bail in respect of Crime No.65 of 2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2), 351(2), 103(2) of BNS, is on board for consideration.

The learned counsel for the petitioner, pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner/A7, who has been in incarceration since 31.03.2026 and false implication in the case, seeks indulgence of this Court. He also submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this court.

The case of the prosecution as put forth by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of bail, is that A1's wife had illegal intimacy with the deceased, due to which, there arose a quarrel between A1 and the deceased and furthermore, A1 along with other accused including the petitioner, attacked the defacto complainant, using deadly weapons, due to which, the defacto complainant sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. . He further submits that the investigation is at its preliminary stage.

Consideriong the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and considering the fact that investigation is at its preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/4
