O R D E R

The present Contempt Petition has been filed by petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.6135 of 2015 dated 19.02.2016, in which this Court directed as follows:

2 Cont.P.No.2153 of 2016 " Considering the limited scope of the prayer made in this writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to consider the said application of the petitioner, dated 09.12.2015 and after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and necessary parties, dispose of the said application, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is for the respondent to decide the same. No costs."

2. Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

Today, when the Contempt Petition is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the above said order of this Court had been complied with by the respondent herein. It is further submitted by the learned Government Advocate that the said application was considered and an order has been passed rejecting the application of the petitioner, in proof of which, a copy of the order dated 14.01.2020 passed by the respondent herein has been produced before this Court. This Court had also gone through the same.

4. Since the said order of this Court had been complied with by the respondent, nothing further survives for consideration in this Contempt Petition, which is accordingly closed. However, liberty granted to the petitioner to challenge the above order of rejection and seek necessary relief, if he is so advised, in the manner known to law. No costs.
