Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.1819/A2/ Aa4/2013 dated 02.01.2014, quash the same and further direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of B.T.Assistant in English in Nagapattinam Union in operation of the panel prepared as on 01.01.2013. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.1819/A2/Aa4/2013 dated 02.01.2014, to quash the same and to further direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of B.T.Assistant in English in Nagapattinam Union in operation of the panel prepared as on 01.01.2013. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in Elementary Educational Subordinate Services on 11.10.2004. The next avenue of promotion is to the post of B.T.Assistant. According to the petitioner, she is eligible to be promoted as B.T.Assistant in English. When vacancy arose for B.T.

Assistant in English in the Nagapattinam Union, the second respondent without considering the petitioner for promotion to the post of B.T.Assistant, filled up the vacancy by way of transferring the fourth respondent from Therkupoigai Nallur Union to Nagapattinam Union, due to which, the petitioner's opportunity to get promotion was deprived. Hence, this writ petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate would submit that during the pendancy of this writ petition, vide proceedings of the second respondent dated 01.11.2014, the petitioner was granted promotion as B.T.Assistant. Hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

4.In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
