Rajachakravarthi ..Respondent(s) Prayer:- This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus order or direction in the nature of a writ, directing the respondents 1 and 3 to give adequate police protection to the respondents 2 and 4 for measure the petitioner's land situated in S.No.519/2, Ugayanur Village, Tiruppur South Taluk, Tiruppur District to the extent of 48 cents.

ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 3 to provide adequate police protection to respondents 2 and 4 to measure the petitioner's land situated in S.No.519/2, Ugayanur Village, Tiruppur South Taluk, Tiruppur District to the extent of 48 cents. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner owns 48 cents of land and seeks to survey the property to mark its boundaries with stones. However, private respondents 5 to 8 are obstructing the Tahsildar and the Surveyor from measuring the property. He further submitted that the Tahsildar in a communication dated 29.10.2025 in Na.Ka.No.3630/2025/e1 requested the Inspector of Police, Avinashipalayam Police Station / third respondent to provide Police protection.
Despite request from a Public servant and Revenue Authority, the Police failed to act. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent Police are ready to provide Police protection; further when a request is made from the public servants and revenue officials, the Police will act immediately. He further submitted that process of surveying and earmarking the land would be completed within three weeks, and adequate Police protection would be provided to prevent obstruction from respondents 5 to 8 or any other persons unless they are armed with a stay or an order from a competent Court.
4.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5.In view of the above submissions, this Court passes the following directions:- i)The third respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the Tahsildar and the Surveyor to conduct the survey of the subject property. ii) The official respondents shall ensure that the process of measuring the land and fixing marking stones is completed within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
iii) Respondents 5 to 8, or any other persons claiming through them, shall not obstruct the survey process unless they produce a specific stay or restraining order from a competent Civil Court.
6.With the above directions, this Petition is disposed of. No costs 30-04-2026 ep
