The matter was called at 10.30 a.m. Since there was no representation on behalf of the appellant, we have directed the Registry to post the matter on 23.06.2017 under the caption "for dismissal".

2. Subsequently, at 12.20 p.m., the learned counsel for the appellant made a mention that the writ appeal has become infructuous and has made an endorsement indicating that he is withdrawing the Writ Appeal.

3. In view of the endorsement so made by the learned counsel for the appellant, this Writ Appeal is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
