O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to consider the representation dated 15.03.2025, wherein and whereby the petitioner sought for police protection to fix name boards in the petitioner's lands (1) Survey No.283/1C total extent of 2085 3/4 sq.ft (2) Survey No.283/1C, total extent of 1672 sq.ft, and (3) S.No.305/2 extent 3.24 and 306/2 extent of 0.13 totally 3.37 agricultural land, situate at Jakka Samuthiram Village, Palakodu Taluk, Dharmapuri District.

2. On a reading of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is seen that the dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature and therefore, this Court is not inclined to give any direction to the respondent police to grant police protection. To be noted, the petitioner is not entitled to approach the police for police protection in cases of civil dispute. If at all the petitioner wants any remedy, he is entitled to approach the Civil Court. Pg.Nos.2/4

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. There shall be no order as to costs.
