Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to take over the administration of Arulmighu Kattalamman, Uchikaliamman and Oorpillayar Kovil, Samarayapatti, West Komaralingam Village, Madathukulam Taluk, Tirupur District by appointing Non-Hereditary Trustees from time to time as contemplated under the Tamilnadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, within a strict time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Though the petitioner has come forward with the larger prayer seeking a direction to take over the administration of Arulmighu Kattalamman, Uchikaliamman and Oorpillayar Kovil, Samarayapatti, West Komaralingam Village, Madathukulam Taluk, Tirupur District by appointing Non-Hereditary Trustees, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is suffice to direct the respondent to take appropriate steps pursuant to the proceedings dated 17.07.2015.

2. A perusal of the said proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1068/2015/A2, dated 17.07.2015 would show that the Inspector of HR&CE Department, Udumalai, was asked to give his proposal for appointment of a fit person and a copy was also marked to the petitioner in this regard.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a suit filed in this regard has been withdrawn.
4. Considering the above, the respondent is directed to take appropriate steps towards the appointment of a fit person in pursuance of the proceedings dated 17.07.2015, after getting a proposal from the Inspector of HR&CE Department, Udumalai. In the event of the respondent coming to a conclusion to appoint a fit person, then, it is well open to him to hear the necessary parties as per law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
