ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, CCB Cases and CBCID (Metro cases) at Egmore to dispose of the petition filed under Section 173(8) of Cr.P.C in Crl.M.P.No.22222 of 2021 in C.C.No.4719 of 2020 within a time frame.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that despite the Trial Court has granted several adjournments for the respondent police to file their counter, no counter has been filed. Hence, he seeks direction to dispose the case as expeditiously as possible.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the respondent.

4. In such view of the matter, the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, CCB Cases and CBCID (Metro cases) at Egmore is directed to dispose of the case in Crl.M.P.No.22222 of 2021 in C.C.No.4719 of 2020 on merits within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order . 2/4

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
