Mohammed Rizwan, her mother-in-law Mrs. Kathija both residing at Door No.126, Old no.89/2-B, Raman street (Ramanaicken Street) Royapuram, Chennai 600 013 and her sister-in-law Mrs. Shakila and her husband Mr. Mohammil, both residing at M.R.Nagar, Kodungaiyur pursuant to the complaint dated 15.11.2014 vide Sl.No.224/CSR/W15aWPS/14 given to the 1st respondent and to deal with the said persons in accordance with law.

O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to any one of the respondents having jurisdiction to register an F.I.R., against the husband of the petitioner, mother in law, sister in law and her husband based on the complaint dated 15.11.2014 given to the 1st respondent.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint on 15.11.2014 as against her husband and in-laws on the ground of dowry demand and harassment. It is further alleged in the complaint that she was brutally attacked and ill treated by her husband and mother in law and was driven out of her matrimonial home along with her child. Since no action was taken by the respondents for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

complaint lodged on 15.11.2014 the petitioner has filed the present criminal original petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of complaint, the same was assigned in C.Sr.No.224 of 2015 and now the complaint is forwarded to Social Welfare Officer for mediation and the respondent police are now awaiting a report from the Social Welfare Officer. He further submitted that on receipt of report from the Social Welfare Officer, appropriate action would be taken.

In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, since the complaint assigned in CSR.No.224 of 2015 has been forwarded to Social Welfare Officer and the respondents are awaiting report from him for initiating further action, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need to give specific direction in this Petition. Therefore the present criminal original petition is closed.
