ORDER

This petition has been filed to transfer the S.T.C.No.699 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Tirupathur, Vellore District to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate X, Egmore, Chennai.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that as per the complaint given by the respondent, cheque was drawn in ICICI Bank, Anna Nagar Branch, and therefore, as per the Apex Court judgment complaint has to be filed only before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate X, Chennai, who is having jurisdiction over Anna Nagar.

3. According to me, remedy open to the petitioner to file an application before the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Tirupathur by mentioning the Apex Court judgment for transferring of the case to the concerned Court.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
