ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to investigate the complaint dated 24.02.2016, given by the petitioner against one Annamalai, which is pending before the respondent-police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, who would submit that the complaint dated 24.02.2016 has been sent by post to the second respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the opposite party is a police constable and that is why the respondent-police are not taking any action on the complaint. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the second respondent police along with this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 24.02.2016. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
