ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 14.03.2025 seeking to survey the land and fix the boundaries for the land situated in the Survey No.483/1B2 at Chengalpattu District and Taluk, Padur Village.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the property comprised in Survey No.483/1B2, admeasuring 1 acre, bearing Joint Patta No.524, covering plot numbers 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, and 107, situated in Shankar Nagar Layout, Padur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, vide Document No.4766 of 1980 dated 18.11.1980 and Document No.2126 of 1980 dated 25.10.1980.
3.1. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner approached the Thiruporur Tahsildar's office and submitted a request 2/6
on 03.07.2024 in Application No: 2024/0123/35/002963, to conduct survey and fix boundaries of the subject property and paid necessary charges for the same. However, till date no action was taken by the respondents. 3.2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner submitted a representation on 14.03.2025 to the respondents, requesting to carry out survey and measurement of the land mentioned in Application No: 2024/0123/35/002963 dated 03.07.2024. During the scheduled survey, the officials observed that the land was overgrown with grass and as a result, refrained from conducting the survey. It is further submitted that the said overgrown grass has now been cleared. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

On this being pointed out, the learned Special Government Pleader would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2025 and carry out a survey, fix boundaries of the subject property and complete the process within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3/6

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2025 and carry out a survey, fix boundaries of the subject property and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy, after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
