Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Certiorarifed Mandamus, calling for the records of Impugned Recruitment Notification No.01/2025 dated 04.04.2025 on the file of the 1st respondent and quash the same insofar as the clause No.6 of the Notification in fixing the age limit of a candidate as on 01.07.2025 and consequently direct the respondent to refix the age limit of a candidate from the date of issuance of notification as on 04.04.2025.

O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed seeking the relief of writ of Certiorified Mandamus, calling for the records of Impugned Recruitment Notification No.01/2025 dated 04.04.2025 on the file of the 1st respondent and quash the same in sofar as the clause No.6 of the Notification in fixing the age limit of a candidate as on 01.07.2025 and consequently direct the respondent to refix the age limit of a candidate from the date of issuance of notification as on 04.04.2025.

The main contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is to quash the Notification No.01/2025 dated 04.04.2025 insofar as Clause No.6 of the Notification in fixing the age limit of the candidate as on 01.07.2025. It is the submission of the petitioner that he completed B.A., B.L., 5 years course and that he has been eagerly waiting to participate in the selection of Tamil Nadu Uniform Service Recruitment Board, which was held in 2022 and could not succeed in the written examination. It is his further submission that after 2022, there is no Notification for further recruitment. It is submitted that the petitioner has crossed 32 years as on 01.07.2025. Hence, prayed to relax the upper age limit for Most Backward Community, so as to accommodate him.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. It is settled principle of law that the employer has prerogative to fix the required qualification and age limit of the candidates. The petitioner could not establish any violation of his right or discrimination. In view of the same, this Court does not find any merits in this writ petition and the same is liable to be dismissed.
