Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta for the land comprised in Survey No. 35/1B measuring to an extent of 60 cents situated at Jayakondan Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, in the name of the petitioner based on the representation dated 06.01.2015 within the period stipulated by this Court.

Mr.V. Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

Placing reliance upon the earlier patta issued in favour the petitioner's grandfather, Death Certificate pertaining to the petitioner's grandfather dated 12.08.2014, Legal Heirship Certificate dated 18.11.2014, Release Deed dated 25.11.2014 and Settlement Deed dated 25.11.2014, the petitioner has sought issuance of patta by way of his representation to the 1st respondent dated 06.01.2015 . On receipt of the same, the 1st respondent has directed the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action, as could be seen from the proceedings dated 08.01.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Since no further action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

Considering the above facts, direction is issued to the 2nd respondent, in pursuance to the communication dated 08.01.2015 sent by the 1st respondent, to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.01.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as to third party, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
