Respondent Prayer: The Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass order on the representations dated 19.05.2014 & 23.09.2014, followed by a collective reminder dated 12.04.2015 on merits and as per law and within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners would state that they were appointed as a casual labourer / NMR employees and they have rendered 22 years of service. As per Government order, for the casual labourers who rendered four years of continuous service or with regular fixation break, the respondent has to open Service Register/Service Roll for the casual labourers. Since the respondent has not opened the service register for the petitioners, they sent representations dated 19.05.2014 and 23.09.2014 and finally on 12.04.2015. However, they

have not yet been considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.L.Chandrakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

4. This Court, considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose the petitioner's representations dated 19.05.2014, 23.09.2014 and 12.04.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. With the above said direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
