Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioners' appeal dated 10.02.2021 filed to set aside the patta granted in favour of the respondents 3 and 4 herein and to grant patta in the names of the petitioners for the lands measuring 1.88 acres in SF.No.32/2 situate at Santhapuram Agraharam Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District in accordance with law and within a stipulated period.

ORDER

1. Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The limited prayer sought in the present writ petition is for a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the particular appeal which is now pending and it is claimed by the learned counsel for the petitioner from 10.02.2021. The said appeal had been filed seeking cancellation of patta issued by the 2nd respondent/Tahsildar, * Hosur, Krishnagiri District. The respondents 3 and 4 are having the benefit of the patta as on date.

3. It is informed that notice had also not been issued in the appeal.

4. Therefore, a specific strict time line cannot be given for disposal of the appeal. But, however, after following due process and after giving notice to all the sides and hearing the parties, the 1st respondent may endeavour to dispose of the appeal on or before 30.11.2021.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
