PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.4 of 2017 pending investigation on the file of the first respondent, to fifth respondent, Director General of Police, CB CID, Chennai from the file of the second respondent.

O R D E R

This Petition has been filed by the petitioner to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.4 of 2017 pending investigation on the file of the first respondent to fifth respondent.

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though the complaint was registered after obtaining the order under section https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

482 of Cr.P.C passed by this Court, there was no positive development in the investigation.

3. In my view, this cannot be a ground for transfer of investigation. However, since the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the present Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch (DCB), Cuddalore has disclosed certain details to the accused, it would be appropriate that the investigation be directed monitored by a superior officer.

4. Under these circumstances, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed, with the direction to the first respondent to proceed with the investigation and file final report as expeditiously as possible. Such an investigation shall be monitored by the *District Crime Branch, Villupuram on day to day basis.
