The order of transfer transferring the writ petitioner from Junior Draughting Officer to Overseer in proceedings dated 23.07.2014 is under challenge in the present writ petition. 2.The petitioner states that she is a differently abled person assessed to 50% disability. She was initially appointed as Overseer in the Engineering Division of Panchayat Union, Athur, thereafter, she was posted as Junior Draughting Officer
at Athur Sub-division. The District Collector passed the order of transfer in proceedings dated 23.07.2014 transferring the writ petitioner from Athur Sub Division to Panamarathupatti Panchayat Union in the post of Overseer.
3.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the Government issued G.O.Ms.No.70 Rural Development [E4] Department dated 20.03.2000 stating that the post of Junior Draughting Officer and Overseer are equivalent post and interchangeable carrying equal scale of pay.
4.Therefore, there is no infirmity in respect of the order of transfer issued by the District Collector which is in consonance with the Government Order. Further, the order of transfer dated 23.07.2014 was issued on administrative grounds which need not be interfered by this Court now after a lapse of about eight years from the date of passing the impugned order of transfer. If at all any grievance exists as of now, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authority for the purpose of redressal of her grievance.
5.With this liberty, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
