Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's applications for rectification of the revenue records dated 30.04.2014 and subsequent representations relating to 0.15.0 hectares of land in Survey No. 681/3C of Pennagaram Village, Pennagaram Taluk, Dharmapuri District.

Mrs.P. Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.L.P. Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the 4th respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner made a representation to the District Revenue Officer, Dharmapuri, namely, the 2nd respondent herein stating that patta has been wrongly given in respect of the land situated in S.No.681/3C, Pennagaram Village, in favour of Senior Regional Manager, Tamil Nadu Civi Supplies Corporation, Dharmapuri and that the same will have to be cancelled and thereafter, patta has to be issued in favour of the petitioner. On receipt of the said representation, the 2nd respondent has directed the 3rd respondent to conduct an enquiry and file a report. As the 3rd respondent has not taken any further steps pursuant to the direction of the 2nd respondent, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

Considering the pendency of the representation of the petitioner dated nil before the 2nd respondent, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass appropriate final orders on the said representation of the petitioner, after receipt of the report from the 3rd respondent, pursuant to his communication dated 24.08.2015, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as to the 4th respondent. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected M.P. is closed.
