ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though he applied for issuance of a new Family Card/Ration Card on the basis of the application dated 30.01.2012 in Application No.225/2012, no response is forthcoming and therefore, the petitioner sent a representation/reminder dated 08.06.2016 to the 2nd respondent and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's Application No.225/2012 dated 30.01.2012 as well as the reminder dated 08.06.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
