..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a writ of mandamus, direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2026 and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to release the compensation amount for land acquired in Survey No. 140/2A and survey No. 140/2B1, Mamallapuram village, Thirukalukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu district (Previously Kanchipuram district ) and also to furnish the land acquisition notice issued by the respondent department and compensation award details for the land in Survey No. 140/2A and Survey No. 140/2B1 Mamallapuram village, Thirukalukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu district (Previously Kanchipuram District) and pass such other orders.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 07.02.2026 before the respondents to release compensation amount for the land acquired for the construction of a bridge, comprised in Survey Nos. 140/2A and 140/2B1, Mamallapuram Village, Thirukalukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District (formerly Kanchipuram District) and also to furnish the land acquisition notice issued by the respondent department and compensation award details for the lands acquired. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mrs.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2026 will be considered within a period of twelve weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available

on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
