ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Sunder Mohan J.) The petitioner has sought for a Writ of Habeas Corpus to produce her husband viz., Santhosh, aged 25 years and set him at liberty.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for petitioner, the learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the 1st and 2nd respondents and the learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, she is a divorcee and developed a romantic relationship with the detenu and subsequently married him in the presence of friends and well-wishers on 16.03.2026 and that the 3rd respondent who is the father of the detenu, had called the detenu to his house stating that his wife (detenu's mother) was ill and thereafter has kept him in illegal detention.

4. Today, both the petitioner and the detenu are present. We interacted with both of them. The detenu admits that he had a romantic relationship with the petitioner and married her; that thereafter, certain differences arose between the two of them; that he is now living with his parents; and that he is not in illegal detention.

5. In view of the above statement of the alleged detenu, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
