This Petition is filed to quash the proceedings initiated against the petitioners in C.C.No.10504 of 2014, on the file of X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

The de facto complainant/second respondent is present. She has also filed an affidavit, stating that, she has settled the matter with the petitioners and received Rs.4,25,000/- out of Rs.8,50,000/- from the first petitioner, and she has no objection for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.10504 of 2014, initiated by her against the petitioners.

Considering the nature of offence, viz., the offence under Sections 498 (A), 406 and 506(ii) IPC, and the fact that the de facto complainant/second respondent compromised the matter with the petitioners and received the amount, as stated above, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed, and the proceedings against the petitioners in C.C.No.10504 of 2014, on the file of X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, are quashed.
