By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. This petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the minimum pension to the petitioner based on the petitioner's pension proposal dated 8.8.2012 based on the G.O.Ms.No.148 dated 20.04.2011 issued by the Revenue Department.
3. The petitioner would contend that he was appointed as a Village Head Man, in Uma Maheswaripuram Village, Thiruvarur Taluk on 20.12.1978 and he lost his job due to the Karnam Abolition Act on 14.11.1980 and again, he was appointed as a Village Administrative Officer on 26.10.2005 as per G.O.Ms.No. 370, Revenue Department, dated 22.06.2005 and on attaining the age of Superannuation, he retired from service on 31.08.2012.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that as per G.O.Ms.No.148, Revenue Department, dated 20.04.2011, he is entitled for minimun pension and the pension proposal of the petitioner is pending before the second respondent for the past three years without any progress. Hence, this writ petition.
5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
6. This Court, in the light of above facts and circumstances, permits the petitioner to submit one more representation to the second respondent by enclosing a copy of this order as well as copy of his earlier pension proposal dated
08.08.2012 and copy of G.O.Ms.No.148, Revenue Department, dated 20.04.2011, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider the said representation on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of the above said Government orders and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken by him to the petitioner.
