This petition has been filed by the petitioners to quash the show cause notice issued by the 2nd respondent viz., The Revenue Divisional Officer, Chidambaram, Cuddalore District, in M.C.No.157 of 2014.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the 2nd respondent has issued the show cause notice on nonapplication of mind. Therefore, the show cause notice is liable to be quashed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that in the show cause notice the petitioners were directed to appear before the 2nd respondent and to execute a bond under Section 107 & 111 of Cr.P.C., which would be valid for one year and that period of one year itself is already over. Therefore nothing survives in this petition.

4.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the records.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also that the period mentioned in the show cause notice itself is over, nothing survives further in this petition. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
