Respondents PRAYER: This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate Writ, or order, or direction, in the nature of a Writ directing the Respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.03.2018 within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction the Respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.03.2018 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner states that the father of the petitioner during his life time, purchased several properties in his name. After his demise, the petitioner had the possession of the properties. On

09.03.2018, the petitioner has sent a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer/2nd respondent herein seeking for transfer of Patta for the lands in the name of his father to petitioner's name under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983. No action has been taken on the representation until now even though more than one year has lapsed from the date of sending the said representation. As the petitioner has no other effective alternative and efficacious remedy other than to approach this Hon'ble Court, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents state that in the present scenario, the writ petitioner can apply through on line for transfer of patta for the said property in his name in the website of the Tamil Nadu Government as Tamilnadu Government has established online service for obtaining any related documents of the property.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, the petitioner is directed to apply through online for transfer of patta in his name. However, it is left open to the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities for transfer of patta in his name with supporting documents enabling to easy access for the same. Accordingly, the authorities concerned are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed if any. No costs.
