For Petitioner : M/S.D.Selvaraju For Respondents: Mr.Karthik Rajan COMMON ORDER The unsuccessful candidates in the interview conducted by the respondents are before this Court assailing their nonselection by filing the present writ petitions. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the very same issue has already been decided by this Court in a batch of writ petitions in W.P.Nos.15936 etc., batch of 2014. Hence this Court may dispose of the above writ petitions in line with the order passed in W.P. Nos.15936 of 2014, etc. Batch. 3.Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, submitted that the prayer sought for in these writ petitions have already been considered and dismissed by this Court with some observations, which are found in paragraph 9 of the said order. Therefore, similar order may be passed in these petitions as well.
4.The issue before this Court already stands decided in W.P.Nos.15936 of 2014 batch., vide order dated 05.01.2015, the relevant portion of which is as under :- " 9.2. Ratio of 1:5:- Coming to the ratio of 1:5, as rightly submitted by the learned Advocate General, the Supreme Court has recognised the entitlement of the apprentice trainees for being considered for the posts. The entitlement of the petitioners is based upon G.O.Ms.No.18 Labour and Employment (N2) Department dated 25.2.2008. The said
Government Order is very specific that the employment Exchange shall sponsor candidates in the ratio of 1:5. Therefore, in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court referred supra, as well as the Government Order, this Court is of the considered view that the contention of the petitioners cannot be countenanced. Moreover, the petitioners have not challenged the Government Order passed in G.O.Ms.No.18 Labour and Employment (N2) Department dated 25.2.2008....."
5. The above said decision is squarely applicable to the facts in the present case. Learned counsel on either side also fairly conceded to the same. In view of the above fact, these writ petitions are dismissed in terms with paragraph-9 of the order passed in W.P. No.15936 of 2014 etc., Batch. However there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
