ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2026. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners are the absolute owners of the subject property by virtue of a registered Sale deed dated 07.04.2016. It is submitted that though the Patta No.778 was issued in their names, the extent of land has been wrongly recorded as the measurements relating to the above survey numbers have been erroneously interchanged in the patta, contrary to the title document. It is furthers submitted that a portion of the property was acquired by the National Highways authorities and compensation has been paid, however, the patta has not been updated to reflect the correct remaining extent of land. Therefore, the petitioners have given a representation 18.03.

2026 for conducting survey of the subject property and to rectify the incorrect entries in Patta No.778 relating to Survey Nos.153/2B2 and 154/2B1B situated at Thandalam Village, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District. Till date, the representation has not been considered at all. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 18.03.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Counsel for the official respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 18.03.2026, conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders on the same, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
